Meet Carol Peebles

Carol Peebles is a renowned American artist celebrated for her mastery in portraiture, particularly using pastels. Based in New Orleans, she captures the essence of her subjects with a distinctive sensitivity to light, form, and emotion. With a strong academic foundation, Peebles' work draws from classical realism, blending technical precision with a deep connection to her subjects. As a dedicated educator, she teaches at Blue Easel Club, the atelier she founded, inspiring a new generation of artists. Her portraits have been widely exhibited and are admired for their lifelike quality and emotive depth.

Meet Kami Mendlik

Kami Mendlik is an accomplished American painter known for her captivating landscape and nature-inspired works. She specializes in plein air painting, skillfully capturing the changing light and atmosphere of the natural world. Founder of the St. Croix River School of Painting, Mendlik is passionate about teaching and helping other artists develop their craft. Her artwork is deeply rooted in the Impressionist tradition, with a focus on color harmony and the emotional resonance of the environment. Mendlik's work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, earning her recognition in the contemporary art scene.

Kari Stober

Kari Stober is an accomplished artist and Marketing Project Manager for Streamline Publishing, where she oversees art-related magazines, newsletters, events, retreats, and instructional videos. She also manages the PleinAir Salon Art Competition. A passionate pastel artist, Kari discovered her love for the medium 10 years ago at the Plein Air Convention & Expo. She has since advocated for more pastel-related content at Streamline, helping to foster a vibrant pastel community. As Pastel Today Community Ambassador, Kari keeps readers informed about pastel world happenings, including awards, exhibitions, and competitions.
